The Hood River 8, Rescued by Silent Wave Horse Rescue on Saturday, March 11, 2017 after 8 months in deplorable conditions! All horses are underweight, have cuts and lacerations with infections, severe lice, worms, rain-rot, two were stallions and have been castrated, and the mares are suspected to be in foal. Their rehabilitation will be longterm. Please support our efforts!

Thank you to John Laptad and Marjorie Marcellus for photos! 4 of the Hood River horses have been successfully adopted into loving forever homes. The other four, Honey, Zeus, Mathilda, and Moon remain in rehab and training. Honey will be ready for adoption in Winter 2018.
